Here we see two errors -- one mine, one the hole driller's. The closest one is where I mis-marked a hole location at 9 rather than 8 feet apart. The other is where a hole was moved over by 4 inches. The darker boards are recycled from another fence, and are straight 2x6 boards.

And here see where the 2x6 boards came from -- a split rail fence that has to go, and my wife HATES.

This poor 4x4 is holding up a lot of extra wood.

I wanted SOMETHING to show at the end of the day, so I mounted some actual slats. These are level, once again my camera was not. Tired arms...

The back looks nice too, at least here.

Here's my helpful little trick to make it so I can place a level 2x4 runner with only one person.

4 out of 20 boards were split badly enough to not use.

This is what became of one of the old panels a fence company said we could reuse. I touched it, and it did this. Glad I bought all new lumber!
